The Honda Saudi Motor Sports Team kicked off their participation in the 2024 season of the Saudi Toyota Championship, Captain Bandar Al-Silmy in a Honda Civic Type R and Captain Enas Hamzah in a Honda Civic Sport in the first round of the Time Attack Championship conducted in Jeddah on 25th May 2024.
The race featured 101 participants split across 10 categories depending on engine size and modifications to the car. The Honda Civic Type R was classified into the G2 category and the Honda Civic Sport was in the G4 category.
The Honda Saudi Motor Sports Team put up a strong showing in the Free Practice runs prior to Race 1 and Race 2. The Honda Civic Type R driven by Captain Bandar Al-Silmy completed Race 1 with a timing of 57.874 seconds, and improved his timing in Race 2 to 57.633 seconds to clinch 1st place in the G2 category. 
The second round of the Time Attack Championship will be conducted in the first week of October in Riyadh.
